If you do not carefully check the valve usage and performance specification before installing the pinch electric butterfly valve, then there are probably several common faults for the clamp electric butterfly valve: valve can not commutate or change slowly, gas leakage, electromagnetic pilot valve is faulty.

(1) for clamping electric butterfly valve, it cannot move slowly or reversing. It is usually caused by poor lubrication, spring stuck or damaged, oil contamination or impurities stuck to sliding part. In this regard, it should be first checked whether the work of the oil mist device is normal and the viscosity of the lubricating oil is suitable. When necessary, the lubricating oil should be replaced, the sliding part of the clip type electric butterfly valve is cleaned, the spring and the clip type electric butterfly valve should be replaced.

(2) after being used for a long time, the phenomenon of spool sealing ring wear, valve stem and valve seat damage is easy to happen, which leads to gas leakage in valve, slow action of valve or normal commutation. At this time, the seal ring, the stem and the seat should be replaced, or the clip type electric butterfly valve should be replaced.

(3) if the inlet and exhaust holes of electromagnetic pilot valves are blocked by oil sludge and other impurities, the sealing is not strict. The movable iron core is jammed and the circuit is faulty, which can lead to the failure of the clamping electric butterfly valve. For the first 3 cases, the oil sludge and impurities on the pilot valve and the active iron core should be cleaned. In general, circuit faults are divided into two types: control circuit fault and electromagnetic coil fault.

Before checking the circuit fault, we should turn the manual rotary knob of the clamp electric butterfly valve several times to see whether the clamping electric butterfly valve can work normally at the rated air pressure, and if there is normal commutation, the circuit is faulty. When checking, the instrument can measure the voltage of the electromagnetic coil to see whether the rated voltage has been reached. If the voltage is too low, it is necessary to further check the power supply and the associated stroke switch circuit in the control circuit.

If the clamp type electric butterfly valve can not be changed normally at the rated voltage, it should be checked whether the joint (plug) of the electromagnetic coil is loose or unreal. The method is to remove the plug and measure the resistance of the coil. If the resistance is too large or too small, the electromagnetic coil has been damaged and should be replaced.

The newly purchased pair of clamped electric butterfly valves should be installed in a timely manner after opening the box. Generally, the valve manufacturer will debug the valve before leaving the factory. Do not loosen the accessories on the valve at will. If you have to check, you need to contact the manufacturer first.
